The Auto Racing and Performance Blog

Dan PeredaHello and welcome to the Auto Racing blog at http://autoracing.today.com.

I am Dan Pereda and my family has been in the automotive business for over 50 years. At a very young age I was hooked on racing and motorsports of every kind.

My mom started taking me to dirt track races since before I could remember. Soon, I was asking for professional level R/C cars so I could race with the other guys at my local hobby shop. Some where around 10 years old, I became determined to become a Super Cross rider, but I couldn’t get anyone to buy be a dirt bike. Unfortunately, I put my racing dreams aside to work on school and getting a cool car to impress my friends.

I progressed on the normal path to finding a good job and settling in to the 9-5 routine. The whole time glued to any racing action I could find. The normal 9-5 and watching racing on TV was fine but I needed more. I soon got started with High Performance Driving Events and now I am launching my own race team and following in the family business, but focusing on the racing aspect of it.

This blog will be focused on what is happening in racing, the many racing series, racing stationing bodies, and how anyone can get started in racing at any age.

I encourage you to make comments, ask questions and provide feedback.

Thank you,

Dan Pereda
